A thoughtful placement collective connecting families with trusted caregivers through values alignment, clear expectations, and intentional support.
Great villages aren’t just built, they’re Tended.
The Tended Way
The caregiver–child relationship is sacred, and creating aligned partnerships between families and caregivers is at the heart of what we do.
Tended thoughtfully connects families seeking trusted support with caregivers seeking meaningful, stable work, building relationships rooted in clarity, trust, and mutual respect.
We work with fewer families and caregivers at a time, so every introduction can be made with care.
Because Tended is a referral-based placement collective, each family and caregiver is personally reviewed before being invited to participate in the matching process. Our questionnaires illuminate values, expectations, communication styles, and timing, so every introduction begins on shared ground.
Tended provides a clear family-caregiver agreement framework to help both sides begin with shared expectations and confidence. When helpful, Tended also offers communication guidance to support strong early alignment as relationships grow.
Tended is a curated placement collective shaped by real referrals, thoughtful review, and conscious communication, building the kind of support families can rely on.
How it Works
Getting started should feel simple, supported, and straightforward.
SHARE YOUR PROFILE
Complete a thoughtful questionnaire so we can understand your values, communication style, scheduling needs, and the kind of caregiver or family relationship you’re hoping to build. Participation in Tended typically begins through referral or trusted introduction, and every profile is personally reviewed with care.
A $200 Family Application Fee is required to begin the review and matching process and is credited toward the placement fee if a placement is successful.
WE LOOK FOR ALIGNMENT
Tended thoughtfully reviews every family and caregiver profile with a focus on values, working style, communication, and long-term compatibility. Rather than overwhelming families with volume, we prioritize a small number of highly aligned introductions at a time.
INTRODUCTORY CONVERSATION
Families and caregivers participate in an initial conversation to better understand the role, answer questions, and support strong early alignment before moving forward.
RECEIVE CURATED BIOS
Families receive 1–3 thoughtfully selected caregiver introductions. Caregivers also receive family profiles when timing, logistics, and alignment appear strong on both sides.
PREPARE AND CONNECT
We provide structured guidance to both families and caregivers to support thoughtful early conversations, interviews, paid trials, onboarding, and communication from the start.
MOVE THOUGHTFULLY TOWARD PLACEMENT
Depending on alignment and readiness, next steps may include additional conversations, reference conversations, paid trials, onboarding guidance, and placement support. Tended remains involved throughout the process to help create clarity, communication, and strong long-term foundations.
Simple. Human. Intentional.
Fewer introductions. Stronger relationships.
Why Families Choose Tended
Families come to Tended when they’re looking for more than a list of candidates.
As a referral-based placement collective, we review values, expectations, communication style, and timing for every introduction so relationships start on shared ground from the very first conversation. Because we work with a limited number of families at a time, introductions are shared only when alignment is strong.
Tended supports families in building caregiver partnerships designed to last with clarity, structure, and communication support along the way.
Because anyone involved in helping raise our children should be respected, trusted, and truly supported, and the strongest relationships take intention, care, and tending.
