Hiring care should feel human, not transactional.

Tended offers thoughtful, values-based placement designed to help families and caregivers begin strong working relationships built on clarity, fairness, and mutual respect from the very beginning.

For Families

Thoughtful Matches Built for Real Alignment

Families who work with Tended are looking for more than availability — they’re looking for fit.

Your placement includes:

• A values-based intake questionnaire

• 1–3 carefully selected caregiver introductions

• Guidance on schedule, expectations, and role structure

• Suggested pay-range alignment support

• A Fair-Commitment Contract template to support clarity from the start

• A thoughtful interview preparation guide to support strong early conversations

Tended focuses on quality introductions, not volume candidate lists.

For Caregivers

Meaningful Roles With Clear Expectations

Caregivers deserve thoughtful introductions and respectful working environments.

Through Tended, caregivers who join the placement collective receive:

• A values-based intake questionnaire

• Introductions to aligned families

• Support preparing for interviews

• Guidance during early placement conversations

• Access to structured expectations through the Fair-Commitment Contract framework

Families pay placement fees — never caregivers.

Investment

For Families

  • Families begin with a $50 application fee. This supports the intake and matching process and is credited toward the placement fee if a hire is made.

  • If a caregiver introduced through Tended is hired, a $2,000 placement fee is due after the first two weeks of successful employment.

  • Because Tended works with a limited number of families at a time, participation typically begins through referral or trusted introduction.

  • Full details are outlined in the Placement Agreement.

For Caregivers

  • Caregivers never pay placement fees.

  • Participation in the Tended Collective begins through referral and thoughtful review.

Additional Support

Some families and caregivers benefit from additional structure as a working relationship begins. When helpful, Tended can provide:

  • Contract customization support

    • Communication coaching for early alignment or check-ins

    • Mediation support if challenges arise during a placement

These services are available when needed and are not required as part of the placement process.
